| Leslie Webb Riggins Bio  Leslie Webb Riggins is a writer with a background in land use planning, art history, calligraphy, furniture conservation, business, advertising, graphic design, and copywriting. Starting out as a Theatre Arts major, Leslie switched over to Communicative Disorders at California State University, Long Beach, only to return to the arts to pursue a career in Fine Arts, where she spent ten years in the Decorative Arts field. During this time she worked with southern California museums and private clientele. Leslie's interests expanded further into technical writing and, eventually, urban and land use planning. She worked as a planner for the Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center in Brunswick, Georgia and Terra Nova Planning & Research, Inc. in Palm Springs, California, specializing in Comprehensive Planning. A former Toastmaster and American Business Women’s Association Woman of the Year, Leslie owned and operated a video production company, DocuCam Video for the Arts, producing programs for the Huntington Library in San Marino, California and other art-related venues, and secured private contracts with entities such as Toyota and the Southern California Multiple Sclerosis Society. As a professional calligrapher she has taught workshops in calligraphy & illuminated medieval manuscripts for both private and public institutions including the Huntington Library, and received Microsoft certification for web design & online technical writing.
